I bought some new accumulators for one of the 6.9s
ending 0715 is the front three, ending 1315 are the rear two.
on my car I think I had lemfoerders to start, then swag, and im not sure what these are?
the old comment they last about 7 years is about right I think
they were about 220-240 USD, different for front and rears
I have Febi on mine, seems to be holding up but I'm coming up on the 7 year mark too...
Very nice! I did the front 3 a year ago. No idea how old the ones on the car were. They still worked, but who knows for how long, so better to just do it. New rears will go on shortly along with rebuilt struts.
I replaced all of mine about 11 years ago. One rear failed in 2020. You can tell immediately from the fact there's zero suspension travel and the car just bounced on tyre. I replaced last summer. Febi I believe. The others are still fine and I'm in no hurry to replace.
I think 7 years is way too short. My '77 just got what I assume is it's first replacement set a few months ago. I bought my car in the early 90s with 62k miles and the prior owner did not mention any significant prior maintenance.
Well I got 15 years....admitedly not many miles in that time but as we know, they wear out just sitting there smiling in their boxes.
Unlike conventional shockers which kind of fade gradually, when the ole accumulator/s go it 's quick and it's obvious.
Mine are up for renewal now.....all 5 this time and looking at overhauling the struts...........err yes.well this is not going well but.........

Are there any markings on the part, other than MB?
I'm going to bet they came out of the same factory where Swag and Febi buy them :D
This is what's stamped on the shown accumulator
Febi only resells what is available at the time. I bought my accumulators ca. 6 months ago. Febi boxes with Hydac parts in them.
I didn't find any records that my spheres have ever been replaced. Don't know how a car with entirely oil-filled spheres drives like but rocking the car up and down still works fine.
