450SEL wreck

I was offered a 1979 450SEL on Tuesday by its original owner. He had given it to his brother some years ago, and eventually it ended up at a Rockingham panel beater's shop. After sitting there for some years the panel beater sold his business and it had to go. So I was all set to collect this gem, even risking divorce #3, but it turns out it went to a wrecking yard the day before I heard about it. So, if you're in the Rockingham area of Western Australia, there's a 450SEL only recently dispatched to the wreckers. Don't know which wreckers, but there can only be a couple in an area where usually most cars on the road look like refugees from the wreckers. It has no front grille, apparently that was sold a year or so ago. It was driven into the panel beater's premises, and has Bundt wheels. It would be nice if someone on this forum could get some benefit from it.
