That's impressive s class!!!  92L was my highest.  It's good to hear that the fuel system will pump the tank dry.  What I mean by saying that is that your typical Aussie family sedan has at least 20L less than our tanks.  What's worse is that I read a while back in Wheels magazine when reading about a new Holden Commodore that at 13L the system was "dry", the engine would cut out to protect thef uel system.  Actually that sounds like a tall tale ie 13L, so I might have to check my facts and feel free to refute this in the meantime.  Regardless, our newer car has a 4.0L engine, 76L tank and weighs a touch over 2000kg.  We really miss not having another 20L to extend our range.  Fuel stops have to be planned when venturing west.

QuoteI got over 100l.  And since I didn't think anyone would believe me, I got a print out slip from the pump management system.

Are you sure the bowser wasn't rigged to over-clock and so overcharge? Sounds a bit much just for a filler-neckful.

It did cross my mind that I was getting screwed but its the same pump at the same filling station I always use.  Normally when I fill up there I get in 88 to 89l, sometimes 92 or 93l if the tank is very very low.  THis discussion is urging me to try this again ;) at a different filling station.
