There might be a diagram in the Service Manual Library.

I tried that approach, all they would do is sell me the 116 manual. For 120 euros.

Unless I am doing something wrong, could only find a manual starting in 1977.

Hi 107 Merc

You are quite right, our library does not have all the wiring diagrams.  I looked into my MB service manuals, and can only see diagrams for the 280SE/L from '77 onwards.  You could use these that I found for a 280S for the year 1975.  Perhaps you could read this in combination a wiring diagram from one of the larger engine types for the same year?

Good Luck

Gavin.
Many thanks for posting the drawings. They have verified what I suspected, that my 1975, 280SL (107) was partially wired using the 116 diagram. I had asked for and recieved from the Classic Center
a diagram for my SL. At the top it states "107 042 from 000 001 thru 000 988, I am 000 605 so we figured, all set. Took about 5 minutes to realize their were a lot of discrepencies between the diagram
and my car, one of the biggest being the drawing showed 2, 15 pin connectors on the Instrument cluster and I have one. Everything on the drawing refers to an automatic transmission whereas I have a
5-spd manual, so assumed there must be a seperate drawing for the manual. Center checked and said this is the only drawing they have on file, period. Had already removed the dash and heater for repairs
so went ahead and verified the color and terminating points of every lead on the car and found 27 discrepencies some minor (wire color) most major (missing relays, wrong fuse panel wiring etc). Turns out this
car in this configuration, 5-spd manual and Bosch D-Jet, was only produced from June of 1974 to Nov. 1975. A real orphan. Anyway the instrument cluster at least is wired exactly as shown on the 116
diagram you provided. I think MBz got lazy and decided to partially use the 280SE with D-jet and 5-spd manual wiring diagram on the assembly line instead of making a new drawing for such a short production car. The good news is I probably have the only accurate drawing for this 107 combo, the bad news of course is that I'm probably the only one who needs it. Again many thanks. John
