tks for the correction on the flat face offset, I always them confused....

I uses to have a set of 15x7 on the 79 300SD and really liked them. For some reason I think these wheels look better on US cars, maybe because of the big bumpers, round headlights etc...

If I was looking for new wheels again, I too would select those. They are easy to find and relatively cheap and I think look great.

I usually recommend 205/65-15 HR or VR, Michelin being my first choice.

Yes, but we are not suggesting a larger tyre.  205/65HR15 and 205/70HR14 are within a couple of % of being the same diameter.
