Great news for all of us with 14 inch wheels. Maybe another option for 6.9 guys who need a high performance tire?

QuoteYokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. will begin selling the tire "ADVAN HF Type D (Advan H · T · T type)" for the domestic market at "ADVAN STYLISH COLLECTION Online Shop" from October 26, 2017. Size is 205 / 50R15 86V ~ 185 / 70R13 86H total 6 sizes. Although sales are also planned outside of Japan, the country of sale and the release start time are unknown at this time.

"ADVAN HF Type D" is our company's historical hit product released in 1981, the tire to be released this time will be a reprint version. "ADVAN HF Type D" has won a high reputation with innovative merchandise and excellent driving performance that adopted a tread design with dimpled racing slick tires used in circuit racing on one side, and Yokohama's It is one of the items that raised the name. The size to be launched this time is the size for the vehicle of the 1970s - 1980s when it was selling original tires.

Also, "ADVAN HF Type D" which will be released this time will be sold only for "ADVAN STYLISH COLLECTION ONLINE SHOP". Along with the expansion of the online market in recent years, the historic car owner frequently purchases parts online, and requests for online purchase of tires have also been received.

It would have been a good find but none of the listed sizes would be suitable for the 6.9's or even a 450

the 6.9 came with 215/70 X 14 and minimum load rating of 97 and the 450 had 205/70X14

Perfect for the 123 which we all know is much more popular than the 116 - well at least here it is which I still don't understand.

It's probably the cost factor, the W123 would be cheaper to run, refurbish etc.

Yes those tyres would only suit the entry level models, but at least there's another tyre to consider now.

Yes I saw that on FB.  At least it's a step in the right direction for tyre manufacturers...

We used to call these A008R back in the day... I don't know why they have to re-name them to new-fangled HF-D nonsense...

Show anyone over the age of 45 this picture and they'll say its an A008R

I had them on my Mazda RX2.
