WTF are these parts?

These were in my other instrument cluster / tacho thread but i think they got lost in the process of everything else.

So........... WTF are they?  Anyone?   


1.  What's 1 for? (see continued pictures)


2.  More help needed with this:


3.  Also, what's this - is this the cruise control unit, or another computer?

No idea on number 1, unplug it and see what doesn't work.

Brake light switch is 2 I think, and 3 is cruise control box.

No 3 is definitely the Cruise Control amplifier

No 2 sure looks like the Brakelight switch.

The Cruise control can be de-activated by touching the brakes so it looks like No 1 is probablty the harness that connects brake light switch circuit to cruise control circuit. You would expect another wire to continue on to work the brake lights themselves.
