Thanks for the info.  Your description makes sense.  I'm just not sure though where you put the tine - only in the first coat, or how many coats?  What do you use for the tint?

Yes that clears it up Parks.  Thanks.  And that is my bad typo - I meant "tint" not "tine".

What stain do you use - ordinary wood stain?  or someting special to be compatible with the Spies Hecker?

Related question - how does one get the wood off the dash for refinishing?  The console is easy to get out.

"F" picture is showing how the new colour i put in matches the excisting timber, cos before i coloured it it looked like pic "D", or if you wanna see what it exactly looked like go into oscars pics and look at his zebrano timber bare.......

I an example of stripped zebrano.  Be aware, it's a different piece to the one Parks pictures above.
