Has anyone ever repainted under their wiper cowl\grill. I would like to refresh mine flat black and was wondering what others have used.

Thanks,

Bill, the correct color is actually semi-gloss black, same as the trunk, etc... there is actually an MB code for this paint, its a number that ends with 568 but I don't remember the whole thing right now.

Tks,

If you want cheap, Krylon Rust Tough Semi Flat Black Enamel seems to be a perfect match to the factory paint. I've resprayed parts of bumpers, seat pans, etc., and it seems impossible to tell there were any touch-ups done.

I just used Motospray brand matt black enamel in a can.  I also sprayed the mesh a silver/chrome enamel from a can.

It looked great at the time 6yrs ago when I did it.   Right now, the silver's mostly worn off.  Apart from washing the area I didn't prep it too well, just covered everything in black like how used car dealers treat the underside of a car body to tart up the appearance.  And just like how that paint eventually flakes off with time it wouldn't surprise me if the black has come away in places too.
