I am thinking no on sealant as well. It seems that all it does it push the seal away from the body and make gaps for it to leak. I remember, though, the manuals stating that sealant should go in between the glass and the seal, but not the body and the seal. I don't think I want to use any at all. I've also noticed that the installers always leave chunks of the old seal in place so that the new seal doesn't seat in all the way.
