quck question, will they fit?
oem 208 clk wheels.

i remember reading about after a certain year the wheels dont fit, but im not sure what it was. I really love the look of these (i know most dont) and they are super light. 16inch

thanks in advance.

Saw them on a 126. Probably a testament to the fitment on a 116. Depending on offset probably need spacers. My money is on needing spacers.

Find out the offset.  I suspect it will be too high (ie need spacers).  The max offset you can cope with on a W116 is about ET30.

The best reason for fitting new wheels :)

I don't think they will fit without spacers (which are illegal in some places) but there is only one way to find out if no one else is using those exact wheels. Even if someone else is using them, double check that they tested the fit on (near) full lock under load.

As for wheels that fit our 116, anything fitting a W126 or W107 will be fine.

I had a set OEM 16" alloys from a clk they went straight on to my 116 they fit fine. only the plastic caps would not go back on the front hubs as they poked out too much.
The offset also depends on the width of the wheels eg.
# a set of original 116 alloys for v8 cars are 6.5 inch x 14 inch offset 30
#a set of original AMG I have on my 6.9  are 7.5 inch x 16 inch offset 17
## both these sets of wheels sit with exactly the same space between the inside rim and the body.
of course the outside rims on the AMG's sit 1inch further out of the guards than the standard wheels.

The recommended offset also depends on the width of the wheels.

As I also discovered before I purchased my AMG 7.5" x 16" ET 17 rims, the fine engineers at AMG never moved their wider rims in towards the center of the car but rather all the additional width moved outwards. I do trust the AMG engineers.
