WOW what a difference!!!  BTW those exhaust tips look real nice.  They look stainless, is that correct?

Damn that looks good!

I thoroughly recommend an indoor car cover, so the dust doesn't settle on it as readily.

Has anyone tried this approach on original chrome? A bunch of folks would probably like to know how that worked out.

I've got some original bumpers that were sitting under the house that could be a good candidate for a test.

You are welcome!

BTW, quad 0 steel wool is also used in french polishing or shellac-ing and on a more personal note I scrub my nuts with it..........

For the record..........

Chrome plate varies in quality so your mileage may vary but its pretty soft really, I have also used steelo (You know.. the stuff with the pink soap smear in it) to clean up badly rusted chrome on Valiants.

Personally though id look at Nickel plating in favour of Chrome these days, far harder and better shine.

Oh how i hope your talking about nuts and bolts, but i have a feeling your not  ::)

If 0000 steel wool is anything like the hood emblem service girls, I'm sure it works equally well on either.

P.S.  Is your 6.9 white or ivory?  It occurs to me that I've never seen an ivory 6.9...most seem to be black or blue, and then there's a few brown and white ones...

P.P.S. Megiar's chrome polish works equal wonders...

Jesus, that's what I was afraid of  ::)

I know I know, its difficult to come to terms with unusual lifestyle choices like mine but on the bright side Mercedes dont seem to use polished or chromed Dome nuts on their cars unlike Jaguar which are a veritable feast of Chrome dome nuts and copper washers all of which need polishing.

Even the exhaust manifolds are held on with dome nuts on early Jagwah donks and its one of my private pleasures to sit there staring at the engine bay having a quiet polish.........
