Who needs Floor panels for 300sd w116?

My floors are pretty much shot and I would like to get some panels. There is no place to order these panels and I'm sure that there are thousands of people out there in my same position. If we could get a big enough order together, then maybe we could get a large batch made. I'm open to ideas/suggestions if anyone has any. ;)

Did you try the dealer (part number 116 616 15 67)? The dealer price is $735 ($588 if you sign up for a Mercedes-Benz Club Of America membership and call in to The Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in California). This is for the entire floor unit including transmission tunnel. It would be hard to beat the price, especially since it would be coming from the original manufacturer!

Can we just knock it out and weld sheets together?

The floors contain several creases which add strength to the entire unibody, so flat pieces of metal would weaken the structure, though the Eastwood company sells fancy tools that you can use to recreate the indentations in the metal.
