Who has their original tool roll?

I suspect the water pump pliers should not be there. Early SA cars had 2 separate screwdrivers and not a single one with removable handle.

Oscar, your turd's kit looks almost complete.

If you really want to be smart, when new, the rolls came with spare fuses!

Still no surprise finds like the wheel brace or other tools.  My dad reckons he has still got the toolkit that came with the 350.  I really can't remember what it looked.  I reckon it's mixed with several Ford toolkits by now :-\

But!!

I think it's high time we show off styria's toolkit.  It's got everything but a hoist.
I've been meaning to post it for a while but kept forgetting.

OK - I can't compete with Styria's tool roll....
But I have the original toolkit, triangle, jack, swing tags, service books, warranty card etc......
Just missing the gloves supplied for changing a wheel.

The triangle does have a half knob thing.  I'd give you the 280's one if it had it but it doesn't.  The triangle's gone as well.  I think it's sitting next to yours up there.

I found those last night, but if you search worldwide ebay for  "mercedes triangle" the triangle and half knobs are for sale pretty cheaply too.

Perhaps a stupid question....

but where are the rolls kept?
In the side areas in the boot, or with the spare tyre?  ???

I've got the original burgundy cloth tool rool but alas not all the tools, only the plug spanner and handle and wheel nut spanner. I've also got the original warning triangle (By law in Brazil). Fortunately, I always carry an extensive tool kit in case of emergencies.

Roger: Sounds as though there was confusion between the Benz and the Royce!

Its a tie up bag, with a few wrenches, spark plug wrench, well thats what it looks like, its a flexible wrench of some sort, wheel wrench, sunroof bit for the motor it the boot, to turn it over

I must say the original tools aren't of a high standard, I am no mechanic but when I have done some fiddling around with my car, i used one of the original wrenches and just with my own arm pressure I could feel the wrench bending. Now I am not strong, rather overweight and unfit. but a $10 set of spanner from the local discount store are stronger, doesn't say a lot for Mercedes quality

There are already too many of those in indiscriminate over-use anyhow - the planet might survive longer if some of those were - er - disabled.   ::)

Yes... maybe there should be a licensing system introduced to stop unauthorised / inappropriate use  ;D

No confusion. The previous owner of my car apologised for not being able to include the cotton gloves as he had already used them.
My ML and CLK both came with gloves; the R-R came with its own technician.

I have the (original?) tool rolls for three of my Benzes - although there are pieces missing from one of them. I can only assume they are original, though - they came with the cars when I acquired them.
