I Am having an extremely hard time trying to find New Wheels/Rims in Canada, USA or online for my 1980 300SD. I've noticed a few treads involving aftermarket wheels but no information on what will fit or where to purchase. Can anyone help please??

alabbasi

W126 15 inch wheels will fit on a W116. So will pretty much any Mercedes Benz wheel of the 70's and 80's and even 90's.
With best regards

Hi Canadadian116 and welcome to our forum :)

Alabbasi is right. Just be aware that you are looking for low offset (ET <30) rims and that some rims may fit but not well depending on their bolt size.

Have you looked on eBay or Craigs List? There is usually quite a few to choose from on both those sites.

What is it in particular that you are looking for?

Also a 5-112 stud pattern ;)

Are you after new, new wheels and larger ones greater than 14", or just different OEM ones from other models?

Thanks for the info! The styling is so nice on this year, nice lines and tons of chrome, I thought it would look really good with some chrome wheels to match. I am looking for newer/used 90's style wheels simmilar to what i already have, only chrome.
I have found some W126 15" on ebay so I just may buy them!
Thanks again!

Sweet car!

I would recommend that you consider the correct 14" wheel in chrome - a company in Muncie Indiana specializes in reconditioning them and sells them in both chrome and silver finishes -

Tires are much less expensive and the car will look excellent - here is an example:

Or stock silver - they looked excellent when new:

Of course, as Al Abassi will confirm, EVERYTHING looks better on a brown mercedes!

The stock wheels are very nice, unfortunately I only got one when I bought the car and it was the spare!
The wheels on there now would be nice too if they hadn't been spray painted LOL!!!  I'm not rally worried about tire price right now (the wheels now are 15") but am still a little skeptical of W126 wheels,
The wheels on eBay say the offset is lower than 25 and the size is 7x15 7J
will these fit?? any additional information would be greatly appreciated!

I second John and Johnny.  I'd love to have chromed 14" bundts.

There's a place called LA Wheel and Tire that do chromed bundts.  Do you know where you're getting yours from Johnnyw116?
These guys usually have some or advertise as exchange for originals.  But, there might be some other options for you there Canadadian http://stores.ebay.com/L-A-Wheel-And-Tire-Factory-Wheels_Mercedes-Benz_Buy-chrome-exchange_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZQ2d1QQfsubZ3611544QQftidZ2QQtZkm

Look at those bundts 8) 8) 8)  How could one want anything else ;D ;D
