The SL Shop here has started selling seals for all older cars including the 116. There are two types "standard" and "premium" which are still cheaper than MB. They also do everything for the R107 much of which applies also to the 116.

That is good news, I just hope it is not the uro brand...

On a related note, I browsed the 116 products and noticed the auto to 6 spd  manual conversion. That is definitely a sweet proposition, then I saw the price.... it reminded me of a certain jaguar parts supplier who offers similar conversions (5 & 6 spd) for xj and xjs models.

There's a supplier in Germany which sells it for just over half that price.

As a side note on their windscreen offering - pretty much all the commercially available 3rd party glass is thinner than OEM, which is how they get the cost down. It's not much, between 0.3 and 0.5mm, but it may impact sealing.

millermbz.com sells 7 piece set for $695.

I bought from them 20+ years ago for my W108 and they are still in good shape.

MB can be had for $1318.68 for the same items.
