W116 sticker quest

I agree the radiator decals were just that - decals.  They are much more fragile. That is based on what I remember from my W108, though they are long gone from there.

It looks like making decals would be very easy.  I would just keep 4-5 of them and replace every few years.

Have we determined what if any radiator decals should be on a 6.9?  If there are some, I would be willing to print some myself.

Another Update:

the valve cover sticker 115 584 36 21 of (at least) 350SE, 450SE and 6.9 (and other MB-Cars) is ready as well.
Try to guess which one is the NOS-Sticker and which one is my reproduction.

Right one is NOS. It has slightly more resolution in the detail

right! Nevertheless the light fuzziness in the picture only exists on the photo.
In reality it is hard to tell the difference.

yes - this is a sticker that I would like to reproduce because it is missing on my 6.9.
I will need a good picture and the exact size, then I can create it.
Can you tell me these details?

Is this your car? If so - could you also make a photo of the red sticker on the brake booster (and tell me the exact size
and if it is a paper - or plastic-sticker)?

Hi Thomas, everyone will need the Tempomat sticker as it was originally paper and I think it has faded away on everyones car, should we start with that one and do you have the size?

Hi,

the cruise control sticker reads in three languages "attention sensible to shocks"
Therefore I personally think that this sticker was not used in the factory assembly line (because once
this control unit was installed into the car there is no need for this sticker anymore).

Not so for control units that are sold later as spare parts.

But of course - I may be wrong 

I think I have a NOS Control unit with sticker here, I will check it tomorrow and let you know.

Here a factory picture of a 350SE from the sales brochure.
No sticker on the cruise control control unit.
But that is no proof as these pictures are often pictures
of pre-production cars.

I agree with you the the cars did not have the tempomat sticker.  It seems to me to be a warning for before the replacement part is installed.

My CC actuator still has the orange sticker (although not in great shape).  Looks identical to the pic you posted. So yes, 2 please.  Actuator has been repainted so the sticker will bring back that 1977 dealer look
