sheepskin seat covers?
« on: 19 July 2006, 04:28 AM »
I haven't checked this yet with MB, but does anyone know if they still have the original fitted MB seat covers available for the W116?

I've seen these on a few cars and they look really nice.

I'm talking about the genuine MB produced items with the fitted pieces for the head rests and the arm rest cover.

Des I've seen some pretty good fitting covers but until I was looking at cars on ebay tonight I didn't know what the "genuine" looks like.  Are these those.

Oscar and Des:

Those look like the real McCoy in the style and fit, but as for the M-B logos ... the "genuine" sheep that I've seen do have the tri-star logo (no words) somewhat larger than in your photo, but  it is a textural, not coloured, feature (so more subtle, classier).  Those blue ones look so "stuck on" (I have a handful full of them for putting on shirts).

These guys in Perth supply both Mercedes Benz dealerships as far as I know.  I am going to check them out in a couple of weeks time but Nathan from Perth bought his set from here I think.....he will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong!
sigh....sitting back contemplating the next purchase..!

My 280 SEL seems to have those. Well, they seem to be the same in appearance except for the logos. Mine dont have any logos at all yet they fit flush and look great. They also add to the comfort a ton!
