Title: Seat cover
Post by: aanderson on 28 March 2018, 04:25 PM

I have just joined to the forum. I am trying to find a seat cover for my W116, few photos attached, as you can see the driver side (UK - right hand drive) seat cover has a massive damage.

What I am actually after is the back rest (full or only the seat cover)

Anyone who could help?

Thanks in advance.

These are not available from MB anymore (haven't been for years). The cheaper choice is getting a used one on eBay (Germany, not UK) or the Germany specific eBay Kleinanzeigen. Look for passenger side though. Parts supply for the 116 is way better there.

The significantly more expensive option is commissioning a new one from places like d:class in UK, or buying the fabric from and getting one made locally.

The fabric was around 80eur per running meter, for both the plain and ribbed velours, about two years ago. Very limited colour choices, but anthracite was available.

Edit: list black velours, plain and ribbed, as available: (look for "Polsterstoff Nr. 911" in the "Bezugsstoffe Mercedes 107, 108, 109, 116, 126, 201 Velour, plan und gerippt" section).

I'm color blind, but does this look like what you need? (

squiggle, thanks for the tip on that website, I have not heard of it before.  I just ordered a bunch of stuff from there for really good prices, with hopefully decent shipping that may be $$. even found a NLA part for my W108 that I have wanted for decades.

The guy there said his website only list about 10% of what they have, so email them if you are looking for something.

Hi Aanderson, I have a back seat cover for sale both seat cover and back rest. But it is in velour olive green. I can not see from your photos what colour your fabric is.
