For anyone interested there is a great thread demonstrating how to restore your interior with decals:
https://www.benzworld.org/threads/off-to-the-races.3044407/page-14
I make the decals and you can message me for more information....there is also a second thread with step-by step instructions:

This does not sound like a great idea. Not that I imagine it costs much, but I can anticipate them lifting, peeling and generally looking bad promptly.
Nathan, I know of someone who restored almost all decals in an R107 using this exact product, and is very pleased with the result. It's quite a procedure though.
Id have to see PT, just sceptical but I suppose cant do much harm. from memory though, aren't the bits pictured actually slightly recessed into the plastic? how does a sticker fit in here flush. the worst bits would be the indicator stalk, and buttons for sunroof/interior light/fanfare horn etc.
These ones aren't, the instrument cluster ones and the hazard light switch one are.
One of the guys in MB Club UK painted these over with a satin clear lacquer after applying, so they wouldn't rub off. I've no connection to these decals, just so it's on the record :)
This is what he posted after the job was one.

Thanks for your questions -- and also appreciate the last post with pictures. I make these decals and they indeed do work fairly well as described in the last picture.
They will basically last as long as the clear-coat you choose to apply. The better it is -- the longer these last.
Of course this option requires lots of patience & knowledge in applying/clear-coating the interior bits -- but is does work. I have offered these decals for nearly 5 years with great success and for many other makes.
This option allows you to restore your 'known' working electrical items without risking buying a used item, finding a good used unit, or paying a lot more for new items.
Just one option and I have put a lot of time to make sure that it will work for those willing to put in the time and effort.
Cheers,
Mo
