Thanks guys I like them .

Foosh also have some other wheels that look good. I'll dig out the link. My preference is a 16 x 8 at the most, I don't want low profile tyres.

Just got the springs in from a mate. Can you upload images to the forum or only link to external locations?

Personally the Imperial would look great on a W116

Something along these lines. Actually, not bad at all.

Hi guys you are looking at the wrong wheels from these guys http://www.showwheels.com.au/wheels/showwheels_sml.php?Series=3 the Iron Cross . Geoff  ;D  Personally the Imperial would look great on a W116

I've seen Imperials on Buicks and they look spectacular!  I don't like the Iron Cross, but this just demonstrates how personal wheel choice can be.  If they couldn't do a 16", I'd look at 18".  They're not outragous on a W116 and the tyres still provide plenty of protection for the wheels.  19 and 20s not so much....  And with 18" wheels, there's a whole range of tyres available

Hi oliveoyl W116 has 112mm bolt spacing Porsche is 139mm just so you know . Geoff :)

Thanks motec. Yes you're correct. However the vw fraternity love Porsche rims so there are adaptors (though they are 20mm deep) which makes matching offsets hard. They also can buy reproductions new in 112mm but I have asked if they can get the offset to et11 on a 16c8 wheel. I've had a response and he'll be back to me next week.

I wouldn't touch spacers or adapters with a 10 foot pole; far too dangerous in my books (and illegal here)!  Adapter rings for larger pilot holes in the wheels is as far as I go....

Here's my girl btw.

Spacers are illegal. Would prefer not too obviously.

Wow, the original icon gold looks really great on those cars.
Soon(ish) my 450 will be back to it's original golden glory as well.

What interior color does your car have?

Thanks motec, I've got the e55 wheels on my c class (with 500hp - shh)

I've spoken to Germany about those bbs wheels you found, he can ship downunder. If funds allow i'll go that way I think. For now I have a ride height adjustment and whitewalls on the way.

:)

I think this is good
