That is not necessarily true. My 116's speedo has a 107 part no. on it and it has a mechanical cable.

True my 350 speedo has a 107 number too, but Pat, have a close look at the 107 speedo I posted on the first page with the 1/10th marking.  It looks exactly the same as 500eguy's disc, minus the AMG logo.  It also looks mechanical not electronic.  I'm assuming by electronic you mean illuminated numbers or LCD screens, not counter wheels.  Regardless, 500eguy may still have a problem as the 1/10th counter wheel wont align with the cutout :(

So you can't just adapt the mechanical driven parts to the face?  ???
Or is it not as simple as that?

Ah shit!!  I didn't know that Pat.  :(

Andrew, the disc should still accomodate the odomoter numbers but the trip meter would need dremelling.  See that w116 speedos have the 2nd and 3rd numbers below the centre of the dial.  This 107 one has  the 2nd number bang in the middle, directly below the centre of the dial.

Not only this 500eguy, but your disc I suddenly realised doesn't have the correct mounting holes :-[  Yours is completely round.
Below is not the best pic but you will see my disc has three holes for attachment screws outside the circumference of the disc.

Thanks for enlightening me, Oscar. :)

500eguy, good luck with whatever you do with it now. You never know, you could probably sell it as Pat suggested and buy a similar replacement that will fit.
Or you could have fun with the drill and hacksaw... :D ;)
