I think I'm gonna go for these :

Front : 225/50ZR16
Rear : 245/45ZR16

I don't think they'll last with aggressive driving. Also might be a bit too stiff for regular use. Why not go for something more comfort orientated?

s class

I haven't found any other low profile 245's available locally.

From my time with Porsche 928s, 245/45-16s were a fast-becoming rare beast.

Have you thought of looking for a 255? They should be OK on a 9" rim.

s class

255's and 245's are both reallt hard to find here.  I did a quick ebay.de search, and was frustrated to see that 245/45R16 is readily available in Germany from Bridgestone, Falken, Michelin nd Continental.

I have a contact who may be able to import one of these options for me - will look into it.

Just checked Bridgestone NZ... There's is definitely a Potenza made in the 245/45-16 size, but BNZ don't list it.

You could buy them retail in the UK for just over GBP 150. Mytyres.co.uk say postage and shipping is included in the price, but I suspect they mean within the UK... ;)

What is on the original center caps and why did you swap them out? I can't see from the photos you posted.

oversize, I bought those centre caps from a friend in Germany.  I believe they are still available new at the dealer, but are expensive - something like $75 a piece?

What dealer??  AMG wasn't a part of MB at the time, so I'd be very surprized if they could be sourced via MB....

Yes, you order them from the MB dealer - have a B..... number.

Mforcer, they currently have aftermarket caps .

I bought caps for my Pentas from a reseller who I'm certain bought them from a dealer in Germany.

http://www.bits4benz.com.au was the company.  Good service overall.

HWA2014000125 was the part number I think.

I couldn't get a dealer here in the States to trouble themselves for the small order.

Nice wheels! I have a set of 16" British Pentas on my lowered 450 SEL, they look the biz IMO.
