Looking for a W116 Grille for my 300SD

Hello, I'm new to this forum.  I'm currently going through a difficult situation.  I have a 1980 300SD.  My hood latch malfunctioned and my diesel needs to be smothered to shut off to prevent detonation.  So I had to punch holes in the grille to access the latch.  I'm very saddened by both instances, and am finding it difficult to locate a replacement grille.  I see one on ebay for a W126, are there vast size differences between the two as far as grille assembly?
