Just been looking at the interior trim which is supposed to be bamboo it really has faded and is all different. The roof moulding is perhaps the best but the visors don't even look the same colour. The sides of the head restraints and seat backs have all gone a very peculiar colour. Perhaps I should re-colour them any recommendations?
I think because the interior is made of many different materials they all fade at different rates and change differently. Here is a photo of a low mile bamboo interior and it all looks the same tone.
I have had excellent results using leatherique dyes.

I will need to redye all the interior trim on my car when I get to that point.
Does it bug you? My '66 truck has faded seats and paint, and it definitely isn't uniform, but it looks pretty good, in my opinion. It's all about whether or not you like it.
Doesn't that look good? That is how it is supposed to look if only mine did. The head restraints are the worse with them a really unpleasant colour. I know that it is 46 years old and some fading is to be expected but we really don't have that sort of sun and I thought that the heat resistant glass was supposed to stop UV.
Only if it has UV blocking, to my knowledge only window tint will protect these interiors form the damage of UV. Given how non-evasive and safe window tint is, it is on my list to protect the interior. And it makes the car significantly cooler, good for that r-134 and great for r-12
Has got a sort of green tint thought that might have done the job.
