The faceplate parts are available new from Mercedes. I got a new dial face for about $35 USD. You can look up the part numbers here: https://www.ilcats.ru/mercedes/?function=getModels&class=1&language=en (https://www.ilcats.ru/mercedes/?function=getModels&class=1&language=en) and then find an online dealership with discounted parts prices to order.

I just looked, and can't find much of anything, either. That's the problem with not having a subscription to Mercedes' online parts catalog. When I looked up the background where the dials go, the only part number it showed was for the dial face without air conditioning. See item #162: https://www.ilcats.ru/mercedes/?function=getParts&class=1&catalog=040&aggtype=FG&model=116033&group=68&subgroup=001&imageNo=3&language=en (https://www.ilcats.ru/mercedes/?function=getParts&class=1&catalog=040&aggtype=FG&model=116033&group=68&subgroup=001&imageNo=3&language=en) You need one with the hole for the air conditioning dial, but for some reason it doesn't show one.

I also found the part number for the left side lever escutcheon. But, only for the left side... this is maddening. Item #594. https://www.ilcats.ru/mercedes/?function=getParts&class=1&catalog=040&aggtype=FG&model=116033&group=83&subgroup=001&imageNo=2&language=en (https://www.ilcats.ru/mercedes/?function=getParts&class=1&catalog=040&aggtype=FG&model=116033&group=83&subgroup=001&imageNo=2&language=en)

I used to pay $75 a year to subscribe to Mercedes' online parts catalog so I could get part numbers. But that's nuts. Before that it was always free. But now I can't find any good source of part numbers, as these free ones only give partial information and are missing a LOT.

I looked at the part number for the new dial housing. It's 1166830123 and it cost me $24.50 from the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center, which I thought was a total bargain because some people sell these for hundreds of dollars on eBay. Here is an example, and what the part looks like: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-W116-Neu-Klima-Rosette-A1166830123/264926319865?hash=item3daed6d4f9:g:~MoAAOSwv7xfpDds (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-W116-Neu-Klima-Rosette-A1166830123/264926319865?hash=item3daed6d4f9:g:~MoAAOSwv7xfpDds)

This last link leads to offers from our infamous frenchies, who also advertise under 'Altstern Sonderausstattungen'.
It is a family business.
Samad is the son and Zoheir may be his father, who, as Samad once told me, is also in the company.

If you are trying to reinstall the guides for the control levers, the one in your hand is for the right side and is upside down.
See the first photo in the link:  https://www.benzbonz.biz/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1870

Side note: it looks like we lost access to the FSM hosted on this form due to Flash no longer being supported by Adobe.
Anyone with a work around figured out yet?

The center plate is avail, but those side sliders are not.

I ended up painting them. I am not particularly happy with them but it was free rather than 262829172 euros and also quite fun.

I used Tamiya model paint I had and masking skills I do not have hahaha
