installing front armrest

Hi Guys,

My 280S has no armrest in the mid-front. Possible the old owner did a quick chair fix and left it out, or it was never there to start off with.
-was there always such an armrest in the W116?
-if i buy such an armrest, is it a direct mount on the chair frame?

You will have to take the back panel out of the seat  - from memory there are two screws near the lower edge and then it slides downwards.
There should be a threaded bracket in the seat back frame towards the middle of the car to which the armrest assembly bolts.

Most cars have the mounting in the left hand seat (drivers seat in LHD and passengers seat in RHD) except for South African produced cars wich have it in the Right hand seat.
