What story can this car tell? "Oh, I've spent 45 years in a dark garage"? Meh.
I'll take my Goldie - restored, yet imperfect - any time of day over this, thank you very much!

I know this is the sort of end result you're going for Stan, but your car at least will have a story too.

Just heard back from the owner. He says there's already a 60 grand bid, now waiting for 65 grand.

There was a 280SE a while back for sale in the MB Club UK. Worth around 9k sterling, sold for 13k, and is now on the market for 18k - that's within 12 months.
Has the collector world completely lost the plot, or has the W116 suddenly become a hot commodity?
