Holes in top of bumper

Hey Folks

What are the two screw holes on top of the 450 SEL chrome bumper for? Looking at parts pictures I see they are filled with a smooth cap/grommet. The holes have rectangular clip openings. They're not threaded

I assume you mean Euro  style bumpers?  The main center bumper is connected to the 2 curved side pieces by a bolt with flush head.  Then there is a chrome binding over top, then the impact strip to finish it off.

A picture would help, but you're probably referring to the headlamps washers that jet windshield liquid into the screens so the wipers can do their job if the car was so optioned (?)

Yes.  I believe they are for headlamp wipers.
Mine is missing the plug/cover and I am desperate to find a replacement
