Hirschmann Antenna
« on: 12 May 2018, 03:06 PM »
My 78 450SE is missing its original Hirschmann Antenna. Ideally I would like to source an orginal Hirschmann from a W116.

I have managed to source an original from a later W126 (for free), same as this one https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/5UEAAOSw~l5arE7b/s-l1600.jpg

In my W116, previous owners looked like they have butchered antenna cabling in boot, so I can't determine what type of connector was used to connect to the original antenna. Is it the sane type of 5 pin connector or is it different?

I assume the base of mast on original W116 antenna is larger, similar or same to early W126 generation one cars?

I can probably get you one. I don't know if I can test it and shipping to AUS might be pricey from the US.

Thanks Harv. I haven't really searched too hard.

Will let you know if my search is fruitful.
