GAHH leather not good match

I had one seat redone years ago and while not perfect, the hides were pretty close in gloss and feel.

Just got GAHH installed on another seat.  Finish is 100% mat like a modern car, feel is way softer, and the piping is vinyl, not leather like on the previous GAHH covers.  To their credit, graining is good match.  But wow does it jump out as replacement hides.

Can't recommend.  As a side note, one shop wanted to just replace the worn panels.  I kept the old hides, so I may go that route next.

Yes, this is how a lot of the new leather is. It's a different process I believe to the original. You will find that it goes glossy with a bit of wear over time though, but it's not like the original finish.

You can once again buy surface dyed pebbled leather that's a match to the original.  Though, it is more expensive.  But the results are worth it.
