Hey guys I've got a 1980 300sd and the little rubber bumpers that keep the fuel filler door from slamming have deteriorated. Does anyone know where I can get these?

There are 3 fuel door rubber bumpers.

The top two attach to the body (MB part number 000-987-90-40) at the 10 and 2 o'clock positions in the photo.
The lower one clips into the middle of the fuel door hinge (MB part number 116-987-06-39) at the 6 o'clock position in the photo.

The upper bumpers get mashed and are an inexpensive dealership item, $0.74-$1.00.
The lower bumper is a bit pricier dealership item, $19.07 -$26.00.

While you're at it, replace the plastic grommet for the fuel door lock.  This is probably one of the least replaced parts on the 116 ;)

Thank you for sharing this! I had this same issue with my 300SD and couldn't find these for the life of me. However, I did find a work around using part# 253-692-97-00. These stoppers fit almost perfectly. This part was intended for the current GLC300 as part of the recall for the seat belt plate to keep it from getting stuck back into the trim and locking up the seat belt which rendered the rear left seat belt useless. If I remember correctly, this part was very cheap.

One thing to note is that they smaller end may need to be trimmed slightly in order to fit. It's always fun to find a work around for these problems!

1. Helpful post.  Thanks!
2. Is the Fuel Filler Door grommet available?  About 2-3 years ago the Classic Center did not haveboth  this part and the oil filler grommet for the 6.9.

No worries.
When you open the fuel flap, on the LHS where the pin slides in to lock the fuel door, there is a grommet, or guide bush if you like, to guide the lock pin.  You need to remove the vacuum unit which controls the pin movement, then push out the old one and push the new one in.  Quite a snug fit, I needed some silicone dielectric grease to make it seat.
