Front parking/turn signal lights

I had one of my bulbs go out so I pulled out the light to replace the bulb. In doing so I noticed that the back plastic part of the plug where the wires go in is loose and needs to be pushed forward for the bulb to work. Is there a fix for this? Tape? Superglue?

After purchasing my 300SD last August, I noticed my right turn signals did not work. The one in the rear I had to tape the light to the socket.

It still wasn't working correctly, so I went to pull the front one off. The guy who had it before me must have lost the bolt, for the light is held in with a small pair of vise grips. I looked at the light and the whole back of the socket has come out of mine. I tried shoving it back in, but it really doesn't want to go, so yeah, I am interested on how to fix this as well. I can take a picture of it if it will help anybody.

Thanks,

I ended up using electrical tape to push the back forward.

What I have done is push the plastic part in place, then used a punch and hammered the little dimples in the metal housing further. Sometimes the dimples aren't deep enough or the plastic wears and then it pops out, kind of like with headlight switches.

electrical tape is the best I use it

I too just used electrical tape and it works fine now. Well, kinda. The blinker still has issues, but at least I got the parking lights to work on that side now too.
