No problem Jason, I thought the same thing but it worked like a charm, zero leaks!

Drove the car after almost a month, throttle was sticking a little, ball end at the upper butterfly lever needed a little sanding, the plating process probably had something to do with that, all is well now.

Looks like I am almost done!

Well guys, this is it.... just finished the project.

Thank you all for your kind words and I hope some of the pictures can help identify the location of the various components that make-up the M117 intake system, fuel injection, cooling lines, etc...

All in all it was pretty rewarding, even with the little snags at the end.

Time to take a shower an go out to dinner...

Wow, so much for not making it look too good eh?  I need to do this with one of my own engines.  What kind of plating are you getting done that leaves that nice gold color?  I thought you couldn't get things cadmium-plated anymore?

The hardware was zync plated, the regular process will leave the goldish finish unless you ask for a different color such as black (fuel distributor and fan clutch to water pump bolts) or silver as on all hose clamps.

I think the term for the gold finish is "yellow zinc". I'd love to have the appropriate parts in my engine bay replated in yellow zinc, and the aluminum parts polished.

Also, there is something to be said about a spotless engine compartment. For one, it's much more pleasant to work under the hood when everything you touch isn't covered with grease.
