Hello!!
I had the drivers side that would not close all the way, just the first click. No matter how hard one tries to shut it, it won't close up !
Now I have the rear passenger side doing the same thing!! It's doing my head in!!
Any pointers, suggestions as to why this has occurred??

Could be worn hinges, or look at the latch and see if there is still a rubber ring around the hole. They wear or crumble and then things get hard. You can also adjust the latch position.
Also a good lube job to the entire latch mechanism could help. Spray white lithium grease.
