I can't claim any long term experience in using 3M Schutz but it has been on the car for some time and there are no problems. I sprayed over existing underseal, primer and other repair work and so far it is solid. I tried other underseals particularly hand painted and was not happy with the finish and of course they don't dry completely. Spraying the 3M gave a really good finish and doing it at such a high pressure meant that it could be forced into difficult corners and as it said on the can it doesn't sag. It also dries rock hard. From my limited experience I would recommend it because it is easy to apply, really quick, gives good coverage and is a lot less messy than any of the others I have tried. I would repeat though my experience is limited to this one application it achieved all I wanted.

As I have said I cannot claim to be any sort of expert and I am happy to defer to any expert opinion but so far it has worked for me.

OK, I need help finding the part number for the plug that goes in the back seat floor, just in front of the seat, there are 2 on the right side and one on the left, 3 total.

The large outer diameter is 45mm and hole size is @ 30mm.

It is not A1169870744 which is the nickel size one that there are @70 of on the car, used all over the inside of the car to plug all the holes there.

Interesting that the one I mention above and the one I am looking for do not have the part number on them....

Are you referring to the large drain plugs in the rear floor pan? I don't think there's a part number for these, as they're not supposed to come out once the car leaves the factory.

Except for when they tear and need replacing.....

I think I may have found them, 000 997 40 20, which says 32mm, which I hope is the hole diameter.

they are the replacement for 110 987 05 44 which the SL shop sells ( even tough they are nla...)
