Title: Cellulose paint
Post by: marku on 10 July 2018, 01:16 PM
I know that you can put coats of paint on successively just waiting about 15 minutes between them but does this work through to the clear coat? Can't think that there could be any waiting in the factory would there? The car would just go through although perhaps with a drying station between coats. But my question is could I just go through and put the clear coat on top of the just sprayed colour?

This guide is for Sherwin Williams, should be close for other manufacturers, but you should probably look up you specific paint specs.

Thanks for the link - much more scientific than my hit and miss method.
