I've owned my 6.9 since the early 90s but it was heavily modded by the prior owner. My headliner and sunvisors have a black fuzzy material covering them. Was that a stock option? I started thinking and couldn't remember ever seeing another.
No. The head liners were always perforated vinyl, and came in only three colors.....light gray, creme`, and tan.
The sun visors were always matched to the interior color.
Including European cars? That's wild. I wonder why the prior did that. But then again much of the rest of the car was modded.
That includes all markets. European cars weren't an exception.
Eyeman, you can buy this from GAHH upholstery amongst other places. We have fit a coupe of their headliners. Slightly different but very close.
Carpet on the ceiling, I can hear Lionel Richie when I think of this!
Thanks for the confirmation. That's crazy. This material is way to nice to remove, even if it is non stock. My car is very non stock elsewhere. It doesn't even have the proper grill, has a few inch shorter one. I think I'll go back to stock on that with this repaint. But I'm keeping Lorinser bumpers and side skirts and after market wheels, and interior mods.
Any mirrors on the ceiling too? ???
There are cool seem to be glass mirrors on the fuzz/carpet wrapped visors. It is not cheezy, just not leather. The paint, trunk spoiler, etc were cheezy.
