Seen this photo at a W140 forum and thought to myself,wouldn't that be keen on a W116.Whatcha' think?

Not quite sure the needles and font for the numbers look correct on these,

I think if your w116 was totally wooded out the old classic white dials would look nice,

That's a 2-ply engraving plastic.  Burl on top and translucent white underneath.  If you look closely at the 160Km/h, you can see that the numbers are etched into the plastic.  By a laser engraving machine.  Just like the one I have at home.  Hmmm.
