brake lights

I just finished re-wiring the driver side rear fog light and installing new wiring and bulb in the empty socket on the passenger side (US) so as to illuminate with the regular brake lights on my w201. Anyone know if this can be done on my w116? It seems so, but I thought I'd ask if anyone else has done that.
