Purchased a present for my 77 280SEL.
A nice Becker Mexico.
The spring on the tape deck door is gone...will try and sort that over the weekend.
Any tips for the door or install?
I will probably run a switchable hidden bluetooth based unit for actual use.
And as I have a mystery switch on the middle console that might be a use for it

Heh Adam,
these remain the best looking units by a long way.  there has been a number of different ways people have set these up to run other decks, iPods and so on.  this is my effort

All these units have output for an amp. This makes it easy to run a serious amp.
Cassette input can be used as an AUX input for your DAB or iSomething or...


that's as close to a classique look with all the modern feats.
