Antenna pre-wiring
« on: 31 August 2018, 05:27 PM »
Hi all, my 79 450SE has the radio delete option and I'm now trying to re-instate radio and antenna. I have found the car has been pre-wired in the boot (coaxial and electrical), but I can't find the electrical connectors below the HVAC controls (but can see the coaxial cable). What should I be looking for and where should the cables be routed?

I just tested the antenna electrical plug in the boot (with a meter), I can confirm I have 12v. I assume I need to find the wire that connects to radio, providing 12v when radio is powered on.

Well I found 12v cable that connects to radio, it's a blue cable, tested with a meter.

Now I'm good to go.
