Amg steering wheel

Hi guys, i found this AMG steering wheel off a w124 i think. will this work with a 116? thinking about buying it.

Just be aware that if the hub doesn't fit, you should be able to find a suitable one that fits your car.

my car is a 79, i like this wheel although i am more of a fan of the classic centers amg wheel.

That wheel's ugly IMO.   

FWIW, the hub shows the spline diameter to be the later wider sort.  Pull the horn pad of your wheel and check the spline size.  If it's 15mm, that ebay wheel wont fit.  If it's larger, again, ask this guy how big the hole is and compare it with your spline just to be sure.  I can't remember the larger spline size.  Between 17-20mm. But this wheel will match if you have the larger size.

But since this wheel is ugly, I just made your decision much easier.

Oh I realised his 450 is 79, however, I've been advising most of the time that '76 onwards was the change to the larger spline.  I learnt the other day that this POS 77 280se in my backyard has a 15mm spline.  So that's shot my original assumption out of the water. 

So - better to be sure.  Take the hornpad off and look,  takes 30secs or less.  As I said, that hub on the ebay looks like the larger spline. And I swear I won't compete with you 500eguy for reasons stated previously

I agree that steering wheel is not my best choice.... I will not buy it because it doesn't flow with the 70's amg theme i am going for. That is more for a w124 hammer.

I think the subject wheel looks great. Better than some other AMG wheels of the era.

As for the spline size, my '77 has the small spline too

That is the exact same wheel I have on my car and the exact same wheel on the AMG 6.9 for sale at the Classic Center in Germany. I am sure you will like the wheel!
