Wings/fenders/mud guards are an absolute PITA to remove for sure. Fortunately MT and I had success with a Mapp Gas torch on the top edge, which melted the sealant underneath.

Another attempted removal from Nathan's wrecked green car failed miserably however, as the heat gun we used wasn't hot enough to melt the 10mm thick PVC underbody sealant!

Yea, exiting stuff  8)  It's a good idea to tape up as you re assemble. Things like the door handles which could scratch all the hard work  :o

Here in the states California, and maybe some other states, have banned what we call "oil based" paints and have to use water based.  Shops here in Georgia can still use it but HVLP is mandated.

I know a guy who runs a body shop and he is regulated to an absurd level...  Signs, HVLP, paint gun cleaning booths.
