I think that is the part number for the clip holding the trim under the dash.
Any one know a source or an alternative or even some spare. There are 4 a side.

The part number you reference is for the colored trim panels that holds the lower coverings on to the lower part of the dash where your knees would be when sitting in the car. They're a plastic clip, opaque white in color.
If you're asking about the clips that hold the lower dash coverings on that are actually under the dash, then the part number for those trim clips is 000-988-23-78. These are metal clips that are gray in color.
Regardless of which one you need, both are still readily available from Mercedes for vey little money.
