Hi

I need new floor boards for my 6.9, but they are NLA.
Would a 450 have the same floor with the humps for the catalytic converters?

If yes, what year donor car should I look for?

Thanks

Must be US spec and SEL for long wheel base.  Or even better if you don't need to pass smog then go cat free then you don't need that style floor anyway.  My US 6.9 has no cats. Makes a nice big growl ;D

I don't need the cat, but I would like to keep the option.

find me a part number and I'll ask. I have been offered several floor boards in the last few months. May be a match.

Did you ever find those floor boards? Thinking of buying a donor car I found cheap, but was thinking they would have to remove, and then reweld so it might not be worth the cost.

If i can buy some new one's that would be preferable.

Thanks!

I would have asked and looked, if you would have given me the part number.. :D

Mercedes only offered the entire floor as one part.
Both sides, from the front foot well to the rear seat, including the transmission and drive line tunnel.
Way to big and expansive to ship, and It's of course NLA.
My best bet is to find a donor car.

Mog (damn this predictive types to OMG!)
i would think in Nevada theres plenty of rust free 116s at the yards?
interesting that cat shape, we dont see that here in Australia.
good luck finding the bits, here in Aus id just buy a wreck for a few hundred and cut the bits out!

There was a guy on ebay.kleinanzeigen selling one half of the complete floor section 6 months ago.. New Old stock.
Means that floor was indeed a part, left, and right side sold separately
I remember one half being bigger than the other half, with one half already sold.
My guess is it may as well still be there, considering that shipping would be prohibitively expensive.
