Are they gluded on or slipped on into grove, and how hard are they too install?

TJ 450

They are slipped into the groove, but also glued and secured by an aluminium plate with plastic pins around the check strap area.

The ally plate is a bit of a nightmare to remove in-situ, but it's not too difficult otherwise.

i changed my door seals recently and the door did not close flush so had to pull the stupid thing out and start again. Push in to the grooves in the door with a plastic spatula. Start at where the plastic plugs fit in or one of the corners and work your way round. If your door is not 100% flush try pushing on the door a little bit. If this works  and then the door bounces back to not sit flush it should mould itself in time to close nicely over a week or so. I found it fiddly and irritating! but if i can do it anyone can! :)

Thanks guys. Should have waited for your responses but after the paining the car was worn out and therefore chickened out. Sent car to body shop for seal replacement.
