Title: 350 SE Water Leak- Cabin
Post by: rhama11 on 26 May 2013, 10:50 PM
Hi All, I have a leaky boat aka 350 SE Merc. Have fixed most of the problems by sealing sunroof permanently with silicon, and sealing rear windscreen. This has stopped water filling the wheel wells in the boot. However when the car is parked facing uphill in the rain water pools on the rear passenger foot well (note car is right hand drive). Initially I thought that it was coming out of the  bottom of the B Pillar. However on closer inspection it looks like the water is appearing under the front passenger seat by the central console, then following some cables under the front seat to the bottom of the B Pillar where is pools and then out into to the footwell of the rear passenger seat. Any ideas???

Thanks, in advance

Hey Rhama,

Yeah check the firewall. I found mine had rusted through at the bonnet cable grommet. Also take the carpets and sound deadening out, you'll almost definitely find at least surface rust under there.

Cheers
