Title: 1980 300SD Instrument cluster
Post by: MarkM on 23 July 2013, 06:28 PM
My instrument cluster in my 1980 300SD has gone awry. The lights work, the clock works, the oil pressure gauge works, but all of a sudden, the tach, the fuel gauge and the temp gauge have gone dead. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark

Check the 8A fuse, it may have blown. This occurred a while back, when I drove around a sharp bend at speed in my 6.9. Indicators stopped working as well.

Thanks much. Is the fuse located in the box in the engine compartment or someplace else?

In the engine compartment. When I bought my 6.9 I thought there was a huge electrical problem, but it was just that fuse.

Thanks All!

The #4 fuse (8 A) was the issue.

All is well.

Thanks again.
