Works well... until I use an accessory

Yet another cruise control question... sorry about that!
I did do a search and read quite a few messages, but none mentioned this exact problem.
My 280se cruise control runs perfectly until I use the a/c, lights or windscreen wipers.
Then it just shuts off.
Vacuum seems fine, fuses all ok, globes on lights fine too.
Is this a amp problem do you think or something else?
Thoughts most appreciated.

Sounds like an earthing problem or power supply feed problem.

I don't think they share any common relays.

The wiring diagrams should give some idea of any common earthing point and a check of the fuse box will show any obvious poor or corroded connections.
